How do I add the particular newsgroup?

I just read an interesting tip on microsoft.com about being able to add a
newsgroup I am watching to the toolbar. I did what they suggested:

Access your newsgroups from Outlook 2003 To access the newsreader from
Outlook, on the View menu, click Toolbars, and then click Customize. Under
Categories, click Go, and then under Commands, click News and drag it to one
of your toolbars.

Now I am trying to add a couple of the Microsoft newsgroups while I learn
more about those particular programs and the setup wizard is asking me to
'Type the name of the Internet news (NTTP) server your Internet service
provider has given you.'

Am I doing something wrong or do I simply need further instruction? Please
help.

That's "msnews.microsoft.com" (without the quotes)

Or whatever NNTP (network news transfer protocal) server your ISP has
provided to you. Check your ISP's web page for help on setting up
newsgroups, or call them (since you are paying them for support).

The good thing about msnews is that it's independent of any ISP and can
be accessed on any machine with an internet connection that's not behind
a restrictive firewall....

The bad thing about using msnews.microsoft.com is that it doesn't carry
all other newsgroups. If you reply to a cross-posted message, say, to
microsoft.public.security and comp.security, then your reply will only
show up in the microsoft group although both are related groups. You'll
see a prompt saying the non-Microsoft group is not defined when you try
to post your reply. Also, searching through the groups means you have
to repeat your search for each separate news server to which you
connect. OE won't search across all news servers. What I did like
about using Microsoft's server is that my posts to it did not count
against my bandwidth quota with my ISP's news server, but since they
doubled the quota (actually Giganews double their quota and Comcast just
followed along on a free ride) and stopped including the header download
against the quota, I don't much worry about using up my quota anymore.
I might be verbose but I'm not 2GB/month verbose. Well, not yet.
