How do I add titles to inline pictures in Word?

I'm trying to write a travelogue of a 2-week vacation, I chose MS Office Word
2003 so I could make it look professional. I'm adding a couple dozen photos
for illustration, and I'm trying to give them titles (captions). The
"caption" function doesn't seem adequate--a nu. Is there a way to caption
photos in a Word document?

For such an application often the simplest approach is to use a table. You
can put your picture caption in the same cell with the picture or in a
separate cell below.
