Well I can only speak for Visio....my first approach would be to add all of
the shapes to a layer and then set the layer's transparency, however this
doesn't appear to work with images as far as I can see. So a more manual
approach would be to set the transprency of each image manually via (Format
/ Picture / Image Control [tab] / Transparency).
If you're interested this just writes to a 'Transparency' cell in the
ShapeSheet in the Image Properties section so you easily link this cell (in
each image) to a global cell in the respective page or document that would
allow you to subsequently change all the images transparency level from one
