How do I adjust the soundtrack volume in Powerpoint on the fly?

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Keynote is so much easier..... I have a music soundtrack running under the whole show, but I want to turn it down when a movie slide comes up. I've tried everything I can think of.

I need to do it in PPT so that I can give it to a client with a PC. Last time I did an export from Keynote to PPT it changed all sorts of stuff and was a total pain. Thanks,

Hi,

You can have the sound stop playing for a period of time by adding the
Pause animation effect, or after a certain number of slides. Use the
Animation pane on the Toolbox to do these things.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your reply. I can see the Pause effect in the animation frame, but I can't seem to find how to set it to occur at a given slide. It only has a delay after "x" seconds option, which won't be appropriate in this instance. Then when I go to the slide that I want the soundtrack to pause on, the soundtrack doesn't appear as an option to animate, it only seems to be available on that first slide.

Regards,

James
