how do i alert users of a calendar conflict in public folders?

hello. we have public folders that have calendars in them to schedule
meetings in our confrence rooms. we have just upgraded from office 2000 to
office 2003.

in office 2000, when you created conflicting calendar appointments(double
booking) an error would appear that this was a conflicting appointment. we do
not get any messages in outlook 2003 about this and would like to know how to
restore this, so that it alerts you when there is a conflicting appointment.
anyone know the answer?
please email (e-mail address removed)

What do you have selected under Tools->Options->Calendar Options->Planner
Options> Do you have it set to decline conflicting meetings?

LOL sleep... what's that?

Anyway, we checked under resource scheduling and that actually is pertaining
to meeting requests, not scheduling. we still have the same problem.

Scheduling = Meeting requests. Set it to not accept conflicting meetings
and see what happens.
