There was a function that alphabetized a list bit now i cannot find how i did
it. Any help?

I should have been more specific: IE; make grocery list in the order you
think of it then note flag each item. What I want to do now is SORT my list
so it is now alphabetized as opposed to just numbered in the order i wrote it.

Oh, I see. I don't believe there's that capability in OneNote, like you can
in Word with a list or table. However, if you have a list prepared and have
Word, you could copy/paste, sort and then paste it back into OneNote. Not
elegant, but it would work. OneNote is part of the Office "family," but at
this point does not share all the functionality of the older siblings.

I'm sure parts of the codebase are shared with / borrowed from Office but
I'm struggling to see how end users are supposed to view OneNote as part of
Office given that many of the fundamental features e.g. drawing tools,
hyperlinks, are currently missing and OneNote itself is sold separately -
regardless of which version of Office you buy.

OneNote is more like the family dog than one of the siblings :)

P.S. I love OneNote, use it daily and can't wait for the next release(s).

Are you trying to say that OneNote isn't quite house trained yet? :)

<grin> I think you're all spoiled by working with applications that are on
their 8th or 9th release. OneNote is just a v.1, so the fact that it is
actually pretty useful is a testimony to how much code we in fact did get
from the rest of Office. </grin>

With respect to this question, you can do the following:
1. note flag each item (Select them all and just hit note flag once)
2. use note flag summary (View/Note flag summary)
3.At the top of the pane, select to "Group note flags by: note text"
4. At the bottom of the pane, click on "Create Summary Page"

Voila, a sorted list. (on a new page)
