How do I alphabetize one new table combining 5 tables?

I combined 5 tables and now must alphabetize entire new table. Alpha command
only aphabetizes original question.

If sorting is affecting only part of the table, then you haven't succeeded
in joining the tables. Assuming there aren't any Hidden paragraphs
separating them, check to make sure that none of the tables is wrapped and
that none of the rows in the lower tables are marked as heading rows. If
none of that helps, you may have to create a new table and paste the data
from the individual tables into it.
