How do I apologize for omitting a donor in a newsletter?

A business owner is upset because he was listed as an individual not as a
business under a list of donors. I want to insert a box with an apology in
our next newsletter. Should the box have a headline of sorts? How would
others handle this?

I wouldn't use a header, unless he is your biggest donor. It's going to mean
owning up to an error but no one is perfect. Now if this company is a MAJOR
contributor, throw yourself on the sword and put it on the front page.
