Hi there!
I assigned a resource to a task. The task has started and work
underway (like 50% complete). Now I want a new resource to take over
the task from the old one but the new resource has a different rate
from old. If I just add the resource, MSP divides the work. If I
remove the old resources and add the new one, the work done by the old
resource is ignored and the cost skewed.

any ideas?

Hi,

Select the task
Click the Assign resources button
Select the duisappearing resource
Click Replace
Select the new resource
Confirm.

That does it.

Hi Jan,

I have tried this before....but I could not see any date from which this
new/ substitute resource would be assigned AFTER the 'old' resource has
actutally started the job!

Kind regards, dip

Hi,

There is no date.
All the work set to "Done", i.e. the actual work stays with the old
resource.
The remaining work is for the new one.

Hope this helps,

Jan
