You're right. My question was about "contact linking."
Sorry my phrasiology isn't accurate. I'm not an Outlook expert. I didn't
"import," I upgraded to 2007 from 2003 and the program did whatever it
did.
But here's the bigger problem for me. It would be sheer luck if I knew to
search for "contact linking." I searched using several other phrases
"associate contacts," "link contacts," and others. And while I got loads
of
responses, they seemed to address things I didn't need help on.
If this site has addressed this question "countless times," it's obviously
something that lots of people have a problem figuring out. Why don't you
guys get Microsoft to list the solution in thier OL2007 FAQ's?
Many thanks for your speedy and accurate response.

You should never import data from one version of Outlook to another.
Outlook
data is all in the same format. Why you would use import to transfer
Outlook
data is a mystery.
I doubt your question has anything to do with data transfer, however. Nor
does it have anything to do with Activities.
I suspect you actually meant to ask how to add Contact linking to your
Contact form. Am I right? That question has been answered countless times
here. You set that option in Tools > Options > Preferences > Contact
Options...

In OL2003 you could associate contacts with each other by adding them
to
the
bottom of the "Activities" tab. (I THINK it was the activities tab.)
Is there a way to do that in OL2007?
I imported my contacts from OL2003 and can see the associated contacts
in
the "activities" tab but can't figure out how to add new ones.
I DON'T have Business Card Manager.
THANKS!
