What is it that you want to "auto complete"?

You can see your database. You know what you want to ask. We don't.
Feel free to use the big white textbox to enter a comprehensible
question, rather than just the subject line.

Sorry this is the first time i've used this, I think I've answered my own
question though, I needed to auto fill the data, in order that i didn't have
to type the same town each time in a new address book. after further
investigation I think the answer is that you can't, thanks for your trouble

Investigte further. Your conclusion is incorrect.

You can use a Form with a Combo Box to allow you to SELECT an existing
town. It is not necessary to reenter it each time.

I'm not at all sure what you mean by "a new address book" - what is
the structure of your database? Are you (incorrectly) creating a new
table every time you want to add a new record??
