How do I autoarchive from my imap mail server inbox?

The help says you can autoarchive your mail folders and it will appear just
as they do in your inbox. This is not happening. I have outlook setup
through our imap mail server.

Specifically what isn't happening? The autoarchiving? Or the "appearing just as they do in your Inbox"? What are your AuthoArchive settings?

The items do not show up in the Archive folder on the left pane. They go
into the .pst folder and I tried to import them but the operation failed. I
can drag and drop imap mail into the arhive folder but I wanted to have the
autoarchive so I would not have to do this manually.

The settings are run autoarchive everyday
