How do I automatically fill in one field based on another?

I have a table with three columns. The columns are "common name", "botanical
name", and "status". I would like to design a form in which you can type in
the common name and a field labelled "botanical name" will be automatically
filled in by referring to the table.

How do I go about doing this?

Hello

You should use rules and referance code to access this correctly from the
table
