How do I automatically insert auto text

Helah

I am searching for how to insert auto text as we did in the 2003 program. As
you started to type it would display a word or words, paragraph etc. that you
had added to auto-text and you could use it by hitting enter or just go on
typing, I haven't been able to find this function as of yet, and I have read
all I know to read. It is not building blocks I want. I want it to
automatically insert auto text words that match what i am typing?? Make sense?

Hi Helah,

For Word 2007 the Autotext feature was expanded from a single gallery of boilerplate items into 36 building block galleries.
Microsoft chose to disable the autocomplete feature due to the volume of entries that are available.

The use of the F3 key after typing in the unique beginning part of an Autotext entry still works, but not the 'tooltip' suggestions.
Using Autocorrect
(Alt, T, A) rather than the Autotext/Building blockes, to autochange items is an alternative.
