when I open an email I would like to veiw the pictures I have received
without having to open each one individually. Is there a way to set outlook
to open pictures automatically?

It depends on how the message was created. If they are just attached to an
email then, no. But, the way I get around that in sending an email with
pictures is (and I use Word as my email editor) to create a table and insert
the pictures in the table. You have to set the properties to not resize
automatically, and I compress them to view on web. It keeps the email small
and you can view the pictures.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager can actually do that all for you with
inserted thumbnails in a table in the email and the option to also attach
the images.
That, however, doesn't help when the sender has only attached images.

Outlook 2007 now has the ability to preview attached images without opening
them.
