How do I back up to Network drive for OneNote?

I set up my back-up options per the instructions provided to back up on a
network drive at work in addition to my c: drive. I use a laptop, and I take
it home sometimes. As soon as I disconnect my laptop from the network (take
it home), OneNote doesn't continue to backup my files to the network drive
when I'm reconnected again. I have to manually set it up again or trigger the
manual back up each time I reconnect to the network. Is there any way to keep
the back up process automated?

What about continuing to just back up to the C: drive but using something
like the SyncToy to copy the backup file to your network backup location
when you're connected?
