How do I backup an Outlook folder lfrom Sent Items onto a CD-R?

Better to ask in an Outlook Newsgroup, but from the File menu in Outlook
select Import and Export, then Export to a file and then Personal Folder
File (.pst), then select the folder that you want to export, etc.
