HOW DO I BACKUP MY ENTIRE ENTOURAGE FILES?

Email Client: pop

1. I'd like to backup my entire entourage, how do I do that? I'd like to keep everything in tact—the Inbox emails, the sub folders, the address book, calendar etc.

2. To see if the backup works, what do I need to do?

3. If I open the backup file, will it affect my current entourage?

Thanks,
Carmit

You always need to verify a backup, but the method you choose will affect
how you can verify.

No.

Hmmm, what do you consider backup. If this daily, quarterly or yearly? There
are different methods for different purposes. The first thing you need to
know is where your data is stored.

For backup options see:

For daily backups, see these tutorials: (these are duplicates of your
Identity )

Entourage and Time-Machine-like backup (creates chronological backup of
Identity can be used by both Tiger and Leopard allowing you to roll back to
previous dated backups.

Alternative method to use Entourage and Time Machine (does a once a day or
whatever time period you select) This quits Entourage and the Microsoft
Database daemon allowing for once a day backup into Time Machine.

I use "Email Backup Pro" It has worked great for me. Email can be
restored to last saved back up, with a click! No problems.
