how do I block a spammer that appears to be using my email addres

I am receiving email shows up as being sent by me to myself. It is spam mail
about Microsoft. The header reads To:xxxxxxxxx(my address) From:xxxxxxx(my
address), if I use a filter to block this spam will it block all of my email?

it's really difficult to block this type of spam - if you never send
yourself email, you could block mail from yourself, but that is the best you
can do without a real spam filter.
