How do I (can I) uninstall only Excel, Word, PowerPoint?

I want to install Office 2007 student version on a computer that currently
has Office 2003. I need to keep Outlook for email. Is there a way I can
uninstall only these three components so that I can install 2007?

Or do I have to uninstall it all and then once I install 2007, is it
possible to only install Outlook.

And, I assume that 2007 will work with Outlook 2003, correct?

Thank you.

You can use the custom install option on 2007's installation to overwrite
the three programs you want to replace. That should work fine. The issue
you will have is with Outlook. If you want to use Word as the text editor
in Outlook you can not use Word 2007 to do this with Outlook 2003. It is a
known issue. The only way to use Word as a text editor is with the same
level (2003 for 2003, etc.) of Word and Outlook.

You can, however, keep the Word 2003 version and install the 2007 version in
a side-by-side installation (don't allow 2007 to overwrite 2003's Word.)

See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928091/en-us for
information on running two versions of Word about half way down page.
