How do I cancel Office XP Upgrade alerts

I am still using Office 2000 Premier. I mistakenly downloaded an Office XP
SP3 Pack and now I am getting alerts for upgrades. How do I cancel the
upgrades as the files are rather large and I have a slow broadband link.
