Backup any files you've created during the trial period either in Office 2007 format or in 'Save As' older version formats then
uninstall the trial edition from Add/Remove Programs inthe Windows control panel.

I also can't seem to remove the MS Word 2007 trial version. I did what Bob
Buckland suggested in the answer. I clicked on remove program in the
"Add/Remove Programs" area of the Control Panel to no avail. The 2007 version
still sits there and every time I boot up I get caught in an endless
"install" mode. I've even tried 2-3 system restores to dates previous to
installing this trial version, but it is still on my computer! Can anyone
help me?

I don't like the new version and am perfectly happy with the 2003 version
for now. I only added the 2007 trial version to be able to download some
needed clipart that is now exclusively for MS Office 2007. After waiting 4
hours for the trial to download and install I was unable to access the
clipart I downloaded.
