How do I chain Off 2003 with SP1 AND Junk e-mail patch in CD impa.

K

Kathy

I have created a CD image of Office 2003 Multilanguage (MUI - core code -
English) and have successfully chained SP1 with the following entry in the
SetupPro.ini

[ChainedInstall_1]
TaskName=Off_2003_SP1
TaskType=exe
Path=\\sj-whistler\burn\off03MUICD\SP1\ohotfix.exe
Display=basic
MST=[MST file]
Cmdline=property=value

How do I add the Junk e-Mail Filter (KB835235) as a second chained install?
I have tried to adding it to the MST configuration and adding second
ChainInstall_2 section in the SetupPro.ini file with the .msp file in a
separate folder (KB835235) and in the SP1 folder. Nothing seems to work.

Kathy,

You need to slipstream your office 2003 before you can rollout enterprise-wide. I suggest do a google for "slipstream Office xp" or "slipstream Office 2003" to get full instaructions with graphics.

Hope this proves useful.

David,

Thanks for the response. I don't thinsk this is going to work in our
situationas we need to use the CD image method of deployment as opposed to an
Admin installation method which as you point out will work with the
"slipstreaming". Because of this I believe I have to use the Chaining method.
Any ideas on chaining?
