How do I change a page to a sub-page & vice versa

I frequently wish to transform a OneNote Page into a sub-page (and vice
versa). I can do it by creating a blank sub-page, then gradding the page
into the sub-page area till it changes. Then I must delete the blank
sub-page. THis seems clunky. I'm guessing there's a more clever way to
accomplish this. Any ideas?

This for sure is not the right way.

There's a built-in feature for "grouping pages":
- Drag the page to be made a subpage below the page which shall be the
leading one,
- mark both the leading page and the future subpage,
- right click on the selection,
- from the context-menu select "Group pages".

Apart from that:
If a page has a subpage already and a page shall be added as a "child"
one can just drag the latter below the "mother" page.

The above works in the other direction as well.

Finally: collect the fine PowerToy John Guinn has pointed to.
