how do I change all shapes

I have changed my shape on my stencil (I changed the title) - and now I
would like all my instances of that shape on my page to reflect the change.

How is that done?

I have just opened the document stencil - and changed the title of some
shapes but it only affects few of the shapes on the page. Apparently not all
shapes on my page are linked to the master shape on the document stencil any
more...how can I have "broken links"? And can I re-link all shapes?

Links can be broken by a number of actions (ungrouping is one example). I
don't know of any method to reestablish a link. Maybe someone else might
comment on this.

It could be that the particular master did not have Match Master By Name
checked, and thus secondary masters are also present in the doc stencil. (I
think that some master designers at Microsoft do not understand how
important this settings is and leave it unchecked without realising it!!!).
If this is the case, then you may be able to fix the problem by saving as
XML and editing the master reference of the shapes in a text editor.

Also, if you change a master programatically then it is important to use
master.Open and .Close, otherwise changes won't be propagated.
