how do I change button colors

I am unable to change the button colors of the database. The fill/back color
option is not available to me any where for any butoon. How do I reformat the
database to the color I want?

You can't.

Do a search and you will find old posts that address how to make it look
like the buttons are colored by using labels and such, but the button itself
can't be changed.
