How do I change conversion settings

I found my documents converted from PDF format to Word.
I didn't make any changes, etc. but not surprising with MS.
Question 1: Does anyone know how to convert Word back to PDF as I've tried
what MS says and it doesn't work.
Question 2: While typing information into an area, my mouse cursor blinks
on/off and the words ''enter your message'' appear in a box blinking on/off.
Any idea who, what, etc. about this? It takes several taps on the mouse
button to get the cursor to allow input.

1. Are you using Word 2007 and have you downloaded and installed the .pdf
conversion pack?

You didn't mention the version of Word you're using, but Microsoft doesn't provide with Office a converter take a PDF into a Word
document, Office 2007 has a Microsoft add-in that lets you save to a PDF format from Word, but not bring it back. You may have a
3rd party add-in or product you may want to check.
