In order to be able to resize a photo to fit a particular sized paper, (i.e.
4" X 6")
I would like to be able to change the default in my MicroSoft Picture
Manager from pixels to inches.
Can someone help me? Thanks

:
Thee are always 72 pixels to an inch. Screen resolution simply indicates
the number
of pixels that can be drawn on any particular screen and color depth the
number of
colors that can be represented by each pixel.
The Picture Manager does not convert this for you.
There is a converter here

Reply to Mary Sauer: Many thanks for your quick reply and excellent
advice. The site you recommended did exactly what I wanted to do. I would
think that MS would include this function in their "EDIT" window.

The suggestion was exactly what I wanted to know. I will now have a site to
go when I want to convert any measurement. MS should include this converter
in the EDIT window. When we want to print on a specific size photo paper, the
number of pixels doesn't help resize the photo.
Many thanks to Mary Sauer.
