how do i change my password

dear sirs,
i just got my computer and i had someone put a password on
it for me only they did not tell me how to change it if i
need to i have spent two full days trying to ascess
something so i could change it but so far i just keep
going around in circle could you help me in anyway? i will
have my email and a tool free number for you to contact me
if you would rather call me about this matter i have
called several computer fixers and so far i have not
recievd any help from.

I am assuming you are using Windows XP.

I think you'll have better luck in the XP NG:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

This NG is specific to MS Access security issues (MS access is a database
application).

Understandable mistake... given the name of this NG. Good hunting....

BUT....(assuming you're using XP)

try start-->Control Panel-->User Accounts-->Change an Account-->select the
account in question--->change my password

You should be able to change a/the user password there. Hope this helps.
