How do I change the background colour of a page to black?

IT can't be done. The choices under File | Page Setup | Page Color are
hardcoded and Black is not among the choices.

Actually, it can, but you won't want to. To change it, you need to change
the color Windows itself uses for Windows - then you would also want to
change the fonts to white and hope for the best.

Rough directions for doing something similar are at
http://blogs.msdn.com/johnguin/arch...ant-to-do-this-to-onenote-but-here-s-how.aspx.
Instead of changing the Menu font, you will need to change the Window color.

Again, though, be careful. It's very easy to change yourself to black
backgrounds with black fonts and being unable to see what you want.

And therein lies the truth. "Hope for the best". How about, and I'm making a
broad assumption here that an msft worker might know what it means to program
using Visual Studio, making it a habit of deploying applications using only
the reverse color font/surface(sp)? Thanks for GUI'n!

But honestly, I've got an Outlook 2007 black on black that has been annoying
me since 1995. So, please, consider this note just a plea for a new feature
that will take care of an absolutely untenable siuation: having to change my
Windows Appearance in order to accomodate a particular application.
