How do I change the currency symbol in the Enterprise template?

Hello,

As I was working on our new project templates and I was trying to save them,
the following message was shown:
"The currency for this project is different from the currency specified in
the Enterprise Global Template."

Since the currency symbol used in the project template is the correct one, I
tried to change it in the enterprise global template. I have checked out the
enterprise global template and selected the correct currency symbol. Tools,
Options, View. I saved the enterprise global template and checked it in
again.

But I'm still getting the same message. Anybody know what to try next?

I'm using Project 2003.
