How do I change the dates displayed in month view

When I first go to a month view, the current date is at the bottom of the
view and for the most part I am viewing historical information. I would much
rather pop into a view where the current date is near the top of the view so
that I can see what's coming up at a glance. I know I can scroll around, but
that just adds another step. As I'm in and out of my calendar a lot, it's
irritating not to be able to glance at what's coming up next week in a month
view. Thx.

I don't believe that it's possible to have a moving view with the current
date or week at the top.

The Month view is just that, a view of the current month - all of it, not just starting with the current week.
