How do I change the default font size, etc. on new .vst?

I have created a New Template in Visio. The Default Font is currently Arial
12 Point, and I want to chnage that permanently to Arial 9 Point. Also want
to change the default line size to 3. Finally want to chnage the default on
Boxes to no fill.
I don't want to have to keep doing it since I am creatinga alrage number of
basic drawings every day - typically 20 - 30 and it is extremely frustrating
to have to change these EVERY time I create a new drawing.

you might consider creating a blank drawing configured with the defaults
that you want and then save it as a template......

I tried that and I have a Blank Drawing which I configured with the Fonts,
etc. and saved as a Template. However when I open it the fonts, tec. are back
to the original. Very Frustrating

I don't know of a way to preserve the default formats directly. One option
would be to create a Style that has all the formatting you want. Then save
that with your blank drawing as a template. When you start a new drawing,
first choose your style as the default format and then start drawing. This
should reduce the number of changes you have to make every time down to one.
