How do I change the default Ink Annotations settings (Like Color)

I'm trying to discover how to change the Default settings for Ink
Annotations. I want to change the defaults for Ink Color and Line Thickness.
Saving the changes to Normal.dot has no effect.

For Example I want my deafult settings to be Black Ink, "ballpoint", and 1/2
point line thickness.

I am using Word 2003 and TabletPC 2005.
