How do I change the default language in Office XP?

Hello,
Installed Microsoft Office XP, German Version.
Was fine whilst working in Germany, but now back in the UK and working in
English its very confusing having to use English for everything else and
German just for office!
I have tried changing the default input language AND removing all the
activated languages apart from English (GB) - it seems to work and prompts a
restart BUT the language always remains German... is there another way to
change the default language to English?!

I am not sure which language you are trying to change.
If you are trying to change the default language in which you type in
and which Word e.g. uses for spellchecking, then your actions should
have already succeeded.
If you are trying to change the language of the user interface, meaning
e.g. the name of the menu "Datei" into "File", then you need to purchase
an English version of Office XP and install it.

Damn!! That means more money!
lol, will have to just suffer moving in and out of the 2 languages then, the
install, whole interface was what I was meaning... Microsoft being so great
and all *small cough* I thought I could download an 'English Language Pack'
and install it, thereby updating my interface... obviously not...
Thanks anyway :)

There is such a thing, but as far as I know, all language packs need the
American English version of Office as base installation...
BTW, Office 2007 will be different. There you have language packs the
way you imagine them. I just don't know how Microsoft will sell them
(meaning if they will be sold as individual packs or not).
