HOW DO I CHANGE THE DIMENSIONS OF A FOOTER

M

MANLY

HI NEED TO HAVE A FOOTER TO DISPLAY THE PAGE NUMBERS. i HAVE A BORDER
AROUND THE ENTIRE PAGE, BUT THE FOOTER HIDES THE BOTTOM HORIZONTAL LINE. HOW
CAN I REDUCE THE HEIGHTH OF THE FOOTER SO THAT IT DOES NOT HIDE THE LINE,
SINCE THE FOOTER ALWAYS STAYS IN FRONT. i NEED TO HAVE IT RESIDE BELOW THE
BORDER LINE, AND ABOVE THE PAPER'S EDGE.

HELP !

Please don't SHOUT.

Form the Format menu, select Borders and Shading and on the Page Border tab
click on the Options Button and in the Border and Shading Options dialog,
set the "Measure from:" to Text and then the "Surround footer" check box
will be enabled and you can uncheck it so that the border does not include
the footer.
