how do i change the fill color of a template shape

The template I am using has a light blue fill color by default. I want the
template objects to have white fill color. I can take shapes from the
template, insert them in the drawing, and THEN change their color to white.
But this is time consuming - what I want to do is change the default color to
white so that when I grab a shape and insert it in my drawing it will be
white already. Anyone know how to change this? Thanks.

You may be able to change this by editing the template, some object on
the template may control the fill color. However, the fill color may
be determined by an add-on on some vba attached to the template.
If you know (or can find out) how to open a template for editing, look
at the pagesheet and shapesheet for any objects on the page then it
may be a 5 minute job.
