How do I change the font color of nav button for an active page on

I would like to have a menu bar with white buttons and dark blue text for
inactive pages and a dark blue button with white text for the active page
(and a pale blue button with dark blue text for the hover). I know how to
change the button colours, but how do I get the font to change dynamically?

If you are using a FrontPage theme, you cannot change the font colours -
it's a case of one colour fits all.
