How do I change the header or footer to print an Access table

I teach at a high school and need to have the students identify their papers
by putting there names in the header of footer area when printing a Access
Table. I have not be able to find the area to make the changes. Any help
would be appreciated.

This is not possible (at least up to A2003 - I don't know about A2007). I
guess that the reason is that tables are not designed to be printed - that's
what reports are for. Sure, you can do it in Excel, but Access is not
Excel.

Why not ask your students to write their name on the page before submitting
it to you?
