BACKGROUND
=========
The path for sharepoint sites is: http://myServer/sites.
QUESTION
=======
How do change this to: http://FQDN/sites without renaming my server to the
FQDN?
I tried to do this for 4 hours last night. I have chronicled this in the
next section.
WHAT I'VE TRIED SO FAR
=================
I believe that "Connect to SharePoint server" page is where this change
needs to be performed. There are three fields in this page.
I suspect that the second field: "Create a site under this Sharepoint URL"
is where the change needs to made (currently it is set to:
http://myServer/site).
I tried to change the second field to http://FQDN:80/site, however, the
following error is returned: 'Project Server can not connect to the
specified server running WSS. Please check the http: protocols and port #s
in both URLs.'
