How do I change the small blocks to letters?

When I open my MS Word document, I get small boxes instead of letters and
words. How can I get my words?

This sounds like you do not have the correct font installed on your PC. Have
you received this file from someone who may have different fonts on their PC?
Or have you recently changed computers and left your fonts behind? My simple
advice would be to select all the text (Ctrl+A) and change the font to
something basic such as Times New Roman or Arial.
