How do I change the spellcheck language for a whole presentation?

I have several presentations where some slides were developed by someone in
the US and some were developed by poeple in Mexico, Brazil, and the UK - all
slides were created in English, but PowerPoint used the spellchecker of each
person's native language for their slides.
The slides were then combined into one large presentation. Now, each slide
in the presentation is using the spellchecker language from the country that
slide was created in, so one slide is using the English spellchecker, another
slide is using the Spanish spellchecker, etc. Since the whole presentaiton is
in English, it is showing a lot of "misspellings" that are actually correct
because of the different spellcheckers.
Is there a way to change the spellcheker language for all slides in a
presentation at once? Right now, I am going in and changing the spellchecker
language for each slide individually which is very time consuming. I tried
going to slide sorter view to change the spellchecker language for all slides
that way, but the "Language" selection under Tools is grayed out in slide
sorter view and can't be accessed.
Any suggestions?

JBarbato,
Open your presentation and choose the outline tab on the left of your
screen, this shows you all of the text you put in the slides. Now
select them all (CTRL+A). Choose Tools and Language, select English as the
language and hit OK. This works for me here in PPT 2003.

change the language for anything in an inserted text box because those don't
show up in the outline. Let me know if you have any other advise (or anyone

Hi,

this VBA does the trick - to an extent. However,
I have found out that at least from time to time it does not convert all of
the items in my presentation. (Some text boxes may still have the "old"
language setting etc.).
Does anyone know any enhancements to this piece of VBA-code?

It doesn't happen often but when it does, it is very satisfying!!
This macro solution worked perfectly for me. The only thing I needed to
change in the code was the language code (for UK English) and that was it! A
180 slide ppt written by French people in English could now be spell checked
properly. It would have taken me hours to manually change the language ID for
every text box. this whole procedure took about 10 minutes and in future will
take just a couple of minutes if come across the problem in another ppt.
