How do I change the startup section of OneNote?

Hello,

I wonder how do I change the new side note's startup section setting. I have
already deleted a section in My Notebook called "Sep 2005", and everytime
when I exit OneNote I try to locate myself in another section. For example,
"Oct 2005".
Everytime I open a side note I still get the new side note to be placed in a
new created section called "Sep 2005". Why is this? Can someone help with
this?

In Tools/Options/Open and Save there is a setting for "Side Notes Section".
This is the section that Side Notes will always use. You can change it to be
what you want.

If you start Onenote normally (from the Start menu) then it will start in
the last section you were using before you shut down. Only Side note opens
in the same section every time (and automatically creates a new page).
