How do I change the stored "Company Name"?

I purchased my laptop from someone in another company. Somewhere in the
bowels of the settings, the previous company name is stored as "Company Name"
or something. I need to change this as it shows up sporadically when
unexpected, and frequently unnoticed (e.g., it automatically populates this
incorrect Company information into the Properties box of Office documents.).

I'm sure that there is a way to get into the Registry and change it, but I'm
reluctant to mess with the Registry. Where do you go in XP Professional to
change that setting?

Hi Dhv423,

I'm not sure if you're referring to MS Office XP Professional or MS Windows XP Professional :) but for MS Office XP the company
name setting procedure is here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290528?FR=1
For Office 2003 it's here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821550?FR=1
