how do I check if my office 2003 pro is genuine

I have a dell inspiron 9300 laptop loaded with microsoft office pro. 2003.
I got this laptop as a gift and there is no CD for this. How can I check to
see if I have the genuine software installed? And if it is genuine, how do I
register this product? Futhermore, should I be worried if it is pirated?
Because I've been using the laptop for a week already.

I wen't to validate the the software at MSN site, but I think it only
validates the OS (window xp pro. sp2); which was genuine.

I greatly appreciate some help...

Think about this for a second. It's a Dell and it's new. If the drive
fails, what are you going to do?
