How do I choose which inbox to use?

I'm trying to transition to Apple. I have Entourage setup to receive
mail from both my Exchange server and a POP account. However, both
accounts now have Inboxes. I would like to consolidate all received
mail into the Exchange Inbox. Is this possible in Entourage? (It can
be easily done in Outlook, hence the question). Any help would be most
appreciated for this apple newbie!

I don't use exchange so you'll need to wait for one of the exchange folks to
give you a complete answer, but I can explain Inboxes.

In Entourage you have "Folders on My Computer". This is for mail that is
actually on your computer not a server. It has an Inbox.

IF you have an exchange or IMAP account, then they will create folders in
the folder list each with their own Inboxes. Mail in these accounts is kept
on a server.

The benefits of this is the mail on your computer is under YOUR control.
Many exchange users archive their mail to their computer. Check out this
script that will automate this.

AutoArchive Exchange Account to "On My Computer"

Move all e-mail older than 60 days from your Exchange account folders to
archive folders within the "On My Computer" folder tree.

Let me say, "Welcome to the Mac". I have a few tips posted to help new users

Diane has done a great job explaining Inboxes. To answer your Exchange
question: IMAP and Exchange accounts will each have their own Inboxes,
however, you can create a new Custom View that will show you all your
inboxes in one view. Have a look at these thorough instructions on The
Entourage Help Blog <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/custom_views/index.html>.

Hope this helps!
