How do I clear previously entered values from a drop-down?

Rachel Garrett

I have an InfoPath form in a SharePoint form library. I did not set up
any special data connections to a web service or a web page. When the
user clicks Submit at the end of the form, the Submit action saves the
form to the SharePoint form library.

However, InfoPath remembers what they wrote in the text fields, and
pops it up. Is this an option I can remove? The users in question do
not like seeing previous values pop up, and it is confusing in some
places.

Thanks,
Rachel Garrett

hi,

1. Open the form in design mode.
2. Go to Tools-> Form Options.
3. Select Property Promotion, in that remove all fields.
4. Publish the form again.

Hope this helps you.

Try clearing the Enable AutoComplete checkbox on the text box control's
Display tab in the properties. It is defaulted to be checked.

Good Luck!!
