How do I clear recently browsed in picture manager

How on earth do I clear recently browsed in picture manager?!?! and better
How do i prevent saving browsing history?

The thumbnails can be deleted. They are in a folder similar to this:
Vista
C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OIS\thumbnails
XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<<user>>\Application
Data\Local\Microsoft\OIS\thumbnails
