how do I clear the calendar (Outlook 2003)?

I want to completely wipe my calendar of all entries, to clear some old
corrupt ones before using Outlook 2003 as a syncing and desktop platform for
a new iPhone.

How do I wipe the calendar clean?

View-Current View-All Appointments.
Select all and delete.

When in the Calender view, arrange all the calender entries by category (In
Outlook 2007 it's View > Current View > by Category). (not sure for Outlook
2003 but maybe similar)

Then select all entries and delete.
