How do I combine lines into one paragraph?

Hi. I am using OneNote 2007 (home and student) on a tablet PC. I love being
able to write longhand and have my writing translated to typed text.
However, unless a line ends in a comma, the translator *always* inserts a
paragraph break where my handwriting moved to a new line. This would be fine
if I were only doing notes in outline format, but I really need to write
actual documents in sentence-and-paragraph-based format.

As best I can tell, One Note 2003 included "continue previous paragraph" in
the right-click menu, but so far I have found no such feature in my version
of One Note 2007. Does the equivalent feature actually exist in One Note
2007? Is there any way whatsoever to control how the translater inserts
paragraph breaks? I have parused help and searched everywhere, and this is
driving me nuts. Please, please help!

Yes, that's what one is supposed to do with a TabletPC. I myself
normally leave the ink as is, however.

Yes, that's ON's normal behaviour.
I spent quite some time on testing everything ( that's why I am replying
that late).
The result is: It's the way it is. And there's no way to change that.
This would be fine if I were only doing notes in outline
format, but I really need to write actual documents in
sentence-and-paragraph-based format.

That's quite a task!
I for one would not do that.
Normally I leave as ink and I do longer writings just with the keyboard.
Although being one of the "early adopters" of the TabletPC technology, I
never saw a pen as an equivalent to the keyboard (at least if it comes
to longer texts).

I can not say for ON2003.
I only used it for 2 or 3 weeks and then came across the 2007 Beta.
But I do not think that the developers would have left out this feature,
would it have been available in ON2003.
Could it be that you might be remembering something from "Windows
Journal"??
Well, Yes, Journal has this feature.
Does the equivalent feature actually exist in One Note 2007?

No!

No. :-( :-(

Although - compared to ON - being a rather rudimentary kind of
application (more or less a *sample* app for the TabletPC IS [the other
day Erik Sojka used the semaphore of Wordpad versus Word ), Journal can
do what you want.

So why not do what I do do sometimes:
*Write* in Journal and then copy the stuff into OneNote?

Hi, Reinald

Thanks for being so thorough in your response. I'll definitely investigate
using Journal if/when I want to write in paragraph style. Also, I figure as
a last resort I can use the "Input Panel" and insert directly into MS Word if
it comes to that. No wonder I was going crazy, if I was trying to find a
feature that doesn't exist. It seems like a glaring oversight to me, but I
might be different from the majority of users.
